Carolina Alliance holds Ice Cream Social for March of Dimes

Bank staff recently prepared yummy homemade ice cream and held an Ice Cream Social as a March of Dimes fundraiser.  The ice cream was made upstairs and sold in the lobby to customers (and staff!)

Also, on that same afternoon, the crew from ESPN Spartanburg’s Open Mic Daily broadcast their popular show from the bank’s lobby. It all made for a fun afternoon.

Last year, through fundraisers such as this, Carolina Alliance raised $13,291.86 for the March of Dimes and was named the Small Business of the Year and was presented with the Top Financial Institution Award.

Carolina Alliance Named Small Business of the Year & Top Financial Institution by the March of Dimes.

Being active in the community is important to the staff of Carolina Alliance and participating in the March of Dimes is just one of the many ways we achieve this important goal. So, when we received awards for our efforts – well, it a testament to our staff and its commitment to Spartanburg County!

For the fourth straight year, Carolina Alliance has been named the March of Dimes’ Small Business of the Year.  In addition, this year, the bank also was presented with the Top Financial Institution Award.

“To have received the Small Business Award for four straight years is quite an accomplishment. And for a bank such as ours, with 39 employees, to win the Top Financial Institution Award shows how devoted our staff is to the Spartanburg community,” said John Poole, President and CEO of Carolina Alliance Bank. “We have a great staff and very supportive customers and friends at Carolina Alliance that really take pride in reaching out to organizations such as the March of Dimes, who provide vital resources and support to our community.”

The collective contributions of the bank employees, includes more than 150 man hours and financial resources dedicated to this very worthy cause. The bank has won the award in four of the five years it has been open.

Carolina Alliance Bank received the Top Financial Institution Award as its staff of 39, raised $13,291.86, which is more than any other financial institution in Spartanburg County.  In addition, every one of the bank’s staff members made some contribution to the campaign.
