Pure Barre Spartanburg
Kelly Kozlowski and Carol Corson, Owners
Kelly has been a lifelong resident of Spartanburg and left only for a short while to attend college in Columbia. She is honored to bring Pure Barre to her hometown and to share the technique and life changes that come with the Pure Barre technique. She is a mother of two boys, John-Clayton and Graham, who share the same passion for health and fitness as their mom. She has more than 25 years of athletic experience and 15 years of graphics/web experience. She holds many certifications in the fitness industry as well as her Personal Training certification through AFPA Fitness. Her areas of expertise are in STOTT PILATES (Mat and Reformer), group fitness, program development, and cycling.
When she is not in the studio or the gym, Kelly can be found on the road cycling. She has participated in the Assault on Mt. Mitchell numerous times as well as an annual bicycle ride from Spartanburg to the South Carolina coast, totaling up to 245 miles in one day. Kelly was introduced to Pure Barre in Charlotte. After a few classes she was hooked and her body began to transform. She saw that the low-impact concept proved to be effective and this revolutionized her approach to fitness.
Carol was born in Mobile, Ala., and moved to South Carolina 25 years ago. She is very active in her community and is proud to call Spartanburg home. Carol’s energetic and positive outlook on life and passion for women’s fitness and nutrition is a perfect fit for a Pure Barre franchise. She is STOTT PILATES trained and AAFA certified and has been teaching various fitness classes in the Spartanburg area for more than 10 years. After her first Pure Barre experience she was hooked. She was inspired by the changes Pure Barre brought to her life and body and looked forward to inspiring others to achieve the same results.
Kelly and Carol, along with their team of teachers, bring a professional, unique, and exciting Pure Barre experience to Spartanburg. They also sell fitness clothing, candles, Pure Barre accessories, DVDs, gift cards, and more. They are open seven days a week with 40 classes on the schedule.

Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. In just 55 minutes you will achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms.
The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up!
The concentration involved while taking Pure Barre allows you to block “life” out for the hour, creating the mental benefits similarly obtained by the practice of yoga or meditation. A transformed body and a clear head in just one hour—it doesn’t get much better than this.
